OUCH! September 03, 2007 |
We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Yes, but I came to Nebraska. Oh, and I am now a sexy scientist.
Aw, I find this really adorable. Just somebody out there admiring somebody else with a heart full of anticipation and wonderment.
I've got time.
I love this! Great handwriting.
I'm not one to pick on a find with bad grammar, but I am happy to point out that this person used "you're" correctly... something I don't see much of!
I hope he makes time.
i'm sure someone will inevitably find this creepy... but... it makes my heart glow.
I used to live in Ketchikan. I would think he'd have PLENTY of time for her no matter what because there is NOTHING to do on that island.
I like how the author assumes that a connection will be made. No fear of rejection. How sexy is that?
actually they did use "you're" correctly. there is good reason that you don't often correct people Rebecca!
great find- great note
but what a judgemental bitch for thinking that she deserves more time than his painting or working.
Rebecca, your just being the grammer police but you dont want too admit it. And its creepy the way you like the handrighting so much.
Strange occupational combo.
Since it was found in a hotel room by the maid service (the day after?) I'm guessing he made time for her...
rebecca, don't be such a judgenmental bitch, k?
;-)
I dont find this creepy one bit I think its sweet.
i hope he makes time too.
Brh: It makes my heart glow too.
actually in case no one noticed, rebecca was complimenting the fact that this person used you're CORRECTLY and it is true that in this age of ims and texts you really do hardly see anyone use the correct form. As for the note: I really love it, its so whimsical and thoughtful, as if asking the paper because she's not sure she wants the answer from him...
i would be feeling this note. enough said
jamiewatchthestars- that's what Rebecca said. That they DID use you're right. :)
Like brh, I am waiting for someone to call this creepy...I know it's coming...don't let me down!!
Hey what's up w/you guys? Rebecca said that they DID use the "you're" correctly!! Hmmm -- quick to jump, slow to look where jumping??
lol
folks, rebecca was commenting that the author CORRECTLY used "you're." who exactly is the judgenmenal bitch? ;)
Flargy, "your" my hero :)
VERY good point, Ang!!
well she is aiming high,huh?
Interesting how the writer says "will you have time for me?" instead of "do" or "would." When... we meet? When... I pledge my affection to you? When... I reveal my identity? When... you get off your shift? :)
Whats with all the "judgemental bitch" comments?
1. I don't know if I'm included in the "Hey, Rebecca was pointing out that they used 'you're' correctly!" comments. If I am, you'll notice that I said she doesn't want to admit being the "grammer" police. So many things get lost in translation on the Internet...
2. Mandee, the "judgenmental bitch" thing (notice the creative spelling) comes from the first comment on this find:
http://www.foundmagazine.com/comments/901
...and the amusing mayhem that ensued.
the 'judgenmental bitch' thing is a running joke, scroll back through the Finds to discover its source. It's getting kind of tired now though.
Mandee - look back to March 1st and read the first comment (and then the following ones...) it's actually "judeNmental" bitch...it's been in almost every comments feed since then. kind of a "found" inside joke...
((hee hee! i'm on the inside for once!!! woot!))
Thank you to those of you who thoroughly read my comment to see that I was saying the writer was using CORRECT grammar.
Flargy, someone who never points out others' mistakes (as I admitted above that I do not) is not the grammar police. Someone who is glad to see proper grammar is different from someone who points out incorrect grammar.
Rebecca, I guess you didn't catch the playful/facetious nature of my original post. As I was saying...
Hmm... must have been your "tone of type."
HAHA this is ridiculous.
if this was found in the bedroom....it seems he did have time!
Creepy!
You are all judenmental bitches.
Say what you will; that is SERIOUSLY romantic!
And HOT!
this is my favourite found peice. i'm considering making a t-shirt of it.
