We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Do I smell a divorce coming?
Looks to me like your most realistic financial escape plan involves a bridge and a few cinder blocks.
Yikes! Sounds like some kind of nightmare.
I suggest moving into a van.
I found my freedom in a purple 1980 Dodge.
Good luck, A+J!
Not much of a plan... and that's way more numbers than I'm used to
now I see my problem- I should've been planning my escape on PAPER
I was in banking in the early 90's and I did a lot of mortgages. Debt consolidation loans were the bulk of my business. I've seen this scrap of paper a hundred times over- just with different figures written on it.
At least they're selling the house (well- not in today's economy- but theoretically). I watched a lot of people refinance their mortgage to pay off their CC debt- only to run their CC debt back up within the year.
Debt is the devil.
ut really it was just a crackerbox they'd be lucky to get half of what they were hoping for, so ultimately their plan was just so much wishfu
I walk. I wonder if Red-Shorts Boy is busy? I must have seen him 20K.
and to think i complain about my $2,000 debt, who in the hell do i think i am? seriously.
"$10 K to misc." gotta love it. With details like that covered, this plan is a sure-fire success.
I suppose the conclusion is, "I walk off with zip." At least he can walk off.
These notes are probably lying around everywhere.
Walking is good. Hiking is better. Backpacking (long distance) is best.
Back packing is good. Long distance cycling is better.
Long distance cyclying in good. Riding in a jet is better. Riding in the space shuttle is the best.
Riding in the space shuttle is pretty good. Spending years in suspended animation as your automated spacecraft travels to a different galaxy as your family and friends continue their lives without you... yeah, I guess the space shuttle is the best.
If I was serious about my financial escape plan, I'd put it on Excel, or at least transfer my rough draft to nicer paper. (The anal-retentive escape artist leaves nothing to chance)
"Buisness", misspelled thrice. No wonder they let their "personel" run up a 25k CC debt. Hope they like refrigerator boxes, cheap whiskey, and Sterno.
Spam protection: Boston... Red Sox or Tea Party?
Isn't there some bad math ideas in there?
I don't think he should be including the house in his total debt - if he sells it for 425k he makes 210k ... if you take the person CC - the biz loan and the biz CC off that he still has 100k left right? And who is the mysterious "A" who get's 90 of that? 10K to Misc (don't blow it on candy and popcorn as I my Dad use to say to me)
Business to A I walk 0
A space shuttle is pretty good, but time travel is better. Go back in time and erase your debt!
LOL @ Planning MY Escape!
I think it's great. Financial freedom! Mortgages are overrated. Seriously. "I walk" sounds so peaceful in the face of a mountain of debt, a shaky business and maybe a bad marriage. Just think about keeping most of what you earn for a change. A one bedroom apartment in a new part of town, maybe closer to work, maybe within biking or walking distance. Simplicity.
"Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose."
J gets a fresh start, and he or she won't make the same mistakes again.
If the financial escape plan works, I'm envious.
Another way to financial freedom is to fake your own death. You know, like that guy who flew an airplane out to the countryside and then jumped from it while it was still airborne. Unfortunately, he is not enjoying ANY kind of freedom now.
Time Travel is good but Light Speed Travel is better. And I've learned that the more you drink then less you worry about your mounting credit card debt.
And how come my spam protection answer always involves the numbers 420?
Andrew and Jenny wrote a very nice financial escape plan. It covered all the details of their financial situation. Andrew didn't want Jenny to know he was buying drugs, so he just wrote "90k to A" with no explanation. This wasn't much of a problem, though, because Jenny actually had a top-secret job as a spy that she couldn't even tell Andrew about—it brought in a lot more money than he knew.
I think the very first comment was correct.

Been there, done that.
..I Walk..
It all sounds so simple. Peaceful. Liberating.
I hope it all works out.
