We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
That is so sweet! I wonder what's behind her...
sigh...
words are so powerful.
Unless this guy's in a movie, he sat around for hours waiting for his girl to show up so he could work his magic, and she never showed up. And then he found out she wasn't that interested in him anyway.
(can you tell I have some bitter feelings about this?)
I hope he was standing behind her waiting to propose, it's like a dream proposal...
i wish i was that girl...
thats really cute. i wonder why it says turn around though, i guess he was standing behind her?
Hopefully they both won
turn it around already!!!
my heart was stolen 15 year ago... she still has it. ^^
so sweet.
who wouldn't have loved to find a note like that.
i wonder...did she turn around?
Anyone else find the "Turn Around" portion of this find a tad creepy? I mean, it seems like this note is to a girl that this guy has been following around and he's finally got the courage to tell her how he feels (awwww, not). I imagine this guy dropping this note to her secretly, then on the "turn around" part, she turns to find her stalker in ready-grab position. She struggles, he takes hold and runs off, leaving this sad/creepy note to flutter to the ground. Luckily, many people around these "star-crossed-lovers" have enough sense to stop the man, and he's now in jail. Happily Ever After, the end.
sweet
One of the cutest Finds I've ever seen. If only we all had a boy just waiting for us to turn around...
Another great find. Can I just print this one out and use it for as a Valentine??
Your Friend at PostSecret,
-Frank
This is so sweet I can't stand it! This guy's definitely a keeper!
Aw! That's too cute...I'm hoping they were hiking together and he wasn't stalking her or something. :)
This looks like the last clue on a scavenger hunt. If it is, that's adorable. Some people are too creative.
geez what did she win?
wow, that's the sweetest note ever. maybe someone will write that to me someday. i'm falling in love with him.
That song is in my noggin now!
It's a nice note but.. then again.. we don't know the origin. I'm going to remain optimistic.. =^.^=
It just goes to show that extravagant gestures are not necessary. Don't spend money; do spend time.
Anyone else think "Turn Around" refers to an inside joke about the song "Total Eclipse of the Heart"?
This is positively the most romantic find. Let's not be cynics here. He's adorable, not a stalker.
What I want to know is: Why would she ever lose this note? Wouldn't you want to hold on to something like that? Not only is it a super cute note, but this might also be the only time he ever admits that she "wins" :)
This find is too perfect for words.
I thought the "turn around" part was telling the reader to turn the note over.
Guess I don't have a romantic mind at all. :P
I'm wondering if this "finder" grabbed the note before she got there. While else would she just leave it there?
Awww... cute for me - not creepy at all!
I'd turn around!!
Awww, this is cute! I want one!
She wins the scavenger hunt & he wins her. And they live happily ever after :)
Why didn't she keep the note? Because she forgot all about it when she turned around and he was standing there with a ring.
is it wrong the be totally envious? because i totally am! i hope with all my heart that she turned around and they both won.
I also read "Turn around" as "Turn over," as in turn the note over.
awww.that is so sweet. i wish someone wrote me such sweet words. wonder if he was behind her? and it was a treasure hunt type of thing...
Awww. Thats the sweetest find, yet
ooooo... he stole my heart . She had been asking for a ring , he had been unsure , he realized she was the one not to let get away , wrote the note , and waited in the hallway with a beautiful diamond ring . And off into the sunset they went .
I think I just found out how I'm going to propose...
It doesn't really say 'stalker', as this reads like a note from inside a relationship. Dude, it's SWEET! I think it's the last note on a romantic treasure hunt.
I thought the scenario worked like this:
the boy sat behind the girl in class, and reached around to pass her this note. she read it, then decided to turn around and find out who it was sitting there. she must've been carrying it around with her, and it fell out of her pocket on the hike. That's too bad she lost it, but i'm happy someone found it for all us to enjoy! Great note. And yes, Valentines' Day cards are best when hand-written.
cutest thing i've ever read.
What if she was already facing him and "turn around" was his awkward way of asking for rear entry?
Post Secret Frank is leaving messages on Found? WTF. My two favorite worlds are colliding!
Did it make you turn around?
It was through Post Secret that I even heard about this website (Frank posted it a couple of weeks ago) so I'm not surprised he checks this site out. :-)
As for the note......it was sweet! I hope it ended in a proposal. What a way to get engaged!
seems like some people seem to think this could be a scavenger hunt, to which i say what lovely and fortuitous timing for this find! i have engineered an anonymous valentines scavenger hunt of my own. i hope he bites...!
ZOMG! Post Secret is stalking FOUND!!!
Run Found, Run!!
I totally thought it meant to turn the note over too...and then i thought about it!!
I just hope the girl who got this note wasnt as oblivious as i am!!!
i dont think it was a proposal tho...probably he was behind her with flowers or something like that...

OH. That is so incredibly romantic. I bet there was a whole set up of a picnic or something....or he was standing there w/a ring or a bouquet of roses....
Falling in love. NOTHING quite like it.
I think they both win. At least I hope they did and still are!
there is no clues as to the gender of the writer of the note.. but yet each of you commented on the man who wrote it.. straight bias has taken control of all of you
i thought the same thing as heather. lol.
Very sweet. http://www.foundmagazine.com/comments/071
071 is a significant # to me regarding a significant ex lover... his birthday being 07/01/78.
They both win. =]
This makes me cry.
I wish he would say that about me. Instead, my feelings only go one way, and I would be the one writing this note to him.
I like to think she turned around to see him standing there waiting for her. She ran to him and embraced him, losing grip of the paper which flew away in a cool, winter wind.
This is my favorite find so far.

Hi Frank from Post Secret, this is my second favorite website after yours.
What does your comment have to do with anything? 071071 isn't 07/01/78 and it has nothing to do with this found. You're weird.
not straight - I see your point and do sympathize, but remember that the same thing happens to all women, straight or o/w.
Don't know if you are male or female, but if people are talking about an unknown person or generalizing about most professions - doctors, delivery people, lawyers... they will always refer to them as "he". As in someone says "I went to the doctor today" - you say "What did he say?" I do it myself! It's not fair, but I don't know if I would call it bias as much as using the term which is more likely; easier than saying "he or she" all the time - and apparently "they" is bad grammar, though I think it's a good solution.
This may be the one of the only cases I would say that there may be LESS homophobia than it appears!
I don't know about anyone else, but when I saw this I thought of prom. I was helper to a lot of friends who did scavenger hunts or other fun things as a way to ask a date. Maybe that was just big in my town...
I assumed it was a guy because the handwriting looks almost identical to my father's.
I think it's sweet.
I love this... i wish i was that girl...
"He" because the handwriting looks like most men's I've known... my handwriting is more "masculine", but people can still tell I'm a woman by it. Granted, we don't know for sure, but... looks like a guy's to me.
I assumed it was a guy because I think women rarely write in all caps - especially if it's supposed to be a romantic note.
I think maybe she gave him an ultimatum, and he said no, and maybe she left- and he changed his mind.
And maybe she lost the note because she didn't turn around.
What's with you people and all your romantic, mushy 'awww's? Are you all so swept away by the mere thought of Valentine's Day or do you really need this note to be so "cute" and "lovey-dovey". Uggh. Gross. Maybe I'm just bitter ;p
Gee...some people are cranky. But then again whats the world to be without those people every so often. Still, whos to blame if people are hopelessly romantic? Gee...
i dont know about the sex of this person. nor do i care. its a nice act!
everyone's a winner!
wow. i love this. i just got done reading a sappy valentine and it made me smile beyond all reason to see this too.
gosh, i love love sometimes.
but only sometimes.
i hope this girl gave him his heart back.
he's gonna need it.
I really wish I could be optomistic like most of you guys, but you gotta realize this kind of shit never works (for me at least). I swear they never made it anywhere. I'll bet he was about to have the whole scavenger hunt all set up when he heard that she slept around hella, and at that moment he ran as fast as he could to Lake Monroe and threw it away while crying.
Frank in San Antonio, nice comment.
Grr.. how come every where i turn some one or somthing reminds me of the aporoaching day... by the time "the day" come any romance that might have gone with it has been sucked out..
CREEEEEPY. They probably broke up and he can't get over her and she has moved on to something better.
I'm pretty sure the girl is a witch... She stole the guys heart... He's probably waiting with a bucket of water for her to turn around.
Then, when she does he'll scream I win!
Also, when I first read this I thought it meant to turn the paper around...
Aww, this is adorable. I also choose to imagine he was standing behind her with a ring, the note got lost in the excitement, and they lived happily ever after.
PS - "not straight" - I also assumed it was a guy based on the handwriting - blocky and all in caps for a romantic note - just seems to me a gal wouldn't do that.
Don't go bias-hunting. Sadly, it will find you enough in this world.
It actually puts a lump in my throat cause it sounds like something my ex would have said. This sucks..
Hope he wasn't a stalker!!
Something about the "You win (or is it I win)" part makes me think there's already an established relationship.
Frank in San Antonio: That's the funniest comment I've ever read on this site.
Not Straight: You make it sound like a mostly-straight society is a new thing, and everyone's getting caught up in the craze. To me, the assumption that the writer is male implies that many people were simply not raised around a lot of openly gay people, and thus a hetero couple is the default image that springs to mind. I think it's more a result of unintentional conditioning, not homophobia or "straight bias."
If this really led to a lovely, romantic moment, than wouldn't she have kept this note as a keepsake?
You know, I think is totally funny, because I found this note, I found it less sweet and more CREEPY. When I found it, I was scared out of my mind- I kept thinking that there were people following me.
If this really led to a lovely, romantic moment, than wouldn't she have kept this note as a keepsake?
Things like this really make me believe in love.
This looks like my dad's handwriting!
lol i'm strangely creeped out by the "turn around" part..
I love this one! It gave me goose bumps!!
Frank in San Antonio, you make me laugh. Thats the funniest comment I have read.
I wish I would get a note like this one.
I think its a guy because of the hand writing. I think that its a note for a girl because,I wish this happened to me...
This is sooooo sweet, I would melt if I recieved this note!!

It's unlikely that he's a stalker if they've already had a conversation before (sounds like a meaningful one as well). In any case, if you're just naturally pessimistic... you just need to be taught how to dream. =)
This handwriting appears to be identical to my fathers.
Peculiar...
that's the sweetest thing i've ever read. and i'm not a really romantic person, so that's rare for me to say something like that. i'm JEALOUS, ha ha. and to everyone who thinks it's creepy...you don't know what was really going on. i don't either, but...y'know, i know it sounds silly, but i've had huge, huge, obsessive crushes on a couple of rock stars, and i think that probably 70% of you guys would think i was as creepy as fuck, i write songs for them and stuff, and a couple of those crushes are on guys that are forty-something years older than me. but i would never stalk them. of course, if i lived close to them...lol, not really. i love them too much to do that. sorry, i'll stop now. i always ramble when i comment on here. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME POSTING THIS ON HERE??? oh well.
Of all my spare time spent looking on this site, this is one of the cutest things i have ever seen.
nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
this is so beautiful. I hope they're happy.
but i was misdirected to this day. Today is march 17, 2008. where is the find of the day.
Uuuhh ... I started out thinking it was sweet, but "turn around" ...? Stalker! Aah!
I love this!! What woman (or person for that matter!??!) would not want such an honest expression of feelings!!??!?
I think he was stalking her and he's crazy.
-"Sat down and talk" refers to the time he asked her if she knew the time.
-"Stole my Heart" means he's taken many "secret" photos and there's a shrine built for her somewhere in his closet or under his bed.
-She's ignoring him and avoiding his notes and mixed tapes.
-Finally he was giving up and she had won..But alas!, he knew only five hours after placing the note in her locker that she would be standing there reading it. He wins.
Reminds me of a card I got after being with my boyfriend for a number of months. He wrote very sweet things, ended it with: "I think it's time we take our relationship to the next level. Turn the page." I knew it was too early for a "proposal" of sorts, but I figured what the hell... A copy to his house key and his car key were stuck to the second page of the card :)
"As she turns around teary eyed, she looks up and sees him. He has his arms extended stretching the Longbow string holding the arrow in place. Her expression changes to horror as he looses the missile. *Twaang* As she slumps down to the ground in a bloody heap, he smiles over her dying form. 'I Win.' he states with fufillment."
