Demo Assholes
FOUND by J. Mill
I'm a cashier at a grocery store, which is a goldmine for shopping lists. Here's a pretty sweet one I rescued. I wonder how Babbles is coping with those Demo assholes!

Press Citizen is a newspaper here. At the time it must have been harping on tater-eating Republicans such as Babbles.

Hey, KL, the note refers to Babbles as "a wonderful guy." So, it's fairly safe to assume Babbles be a boy. Str8 privilege is lousy though.

I wonder if Babbles works for the Press Citizen and thus the frustrations with that left-wing bastion of the liberal press. The commie pinkos that he and his love hate are working him to the bone. Not to worry, Babbles! During those long hours, you will stay fortified on burgers, pop and tots and will be warmed by the creamiest of mushroom soup (not to mention the love of this list writer).

Okay, take 1 bag of tater-tots. Shake the crap out of the bag until they kinda smush up. Dump contents on cookie tray. Pour can on mushroom soup on top. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and pecans. You haven't lived.

Here is one recipie:

TATER TOT HOTDISH
1 lb. or more hamburger
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 c. cut celery
1 lb. frozen tater tots
1 lb. frozen peas or mixed vegetables
1 can mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 soup can milk
Brown hamburger and season lightly; add chopped onion and stir with hamburger until done. Add cut celery. Put into baking casserole, layer of peas, then layer of tater tots. Mix soups and milk; pour over all. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Or do variations on that. It tastes good with all sorts of different veggies, and we usually dump hot sauce in it as well.

No, no. the soup goes UNDERNEATH the tots!!!

Brown and drain one pound of hamburger. Place in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Spread one can of Cream of Mushroom soup on top. Cover with Tater Tots original. Cover and cook for about a half hour at 350. If it isn't bubbly enough, zap it in the microwave for another two or three minutes. Enjoy.

I'm not really sure, but I think that FOUND's next contest should be a Tater Tot Hot Dish recipe contest. I "appeaicited" reading everyone's har-larius comments, but am puzzeled over all of the tater-tot-hot-dish-ness. Oh,m Tater Tot Casserole! It is white trash, and it is yummy. Here's my recipe; we recently tried to Mexify it with the addition of chorizo and pepper-jack cheese and a bit of fresh jalapeno cooked with the meat. Awesome!:
Ingredients:
1 two-lb. bag of tater tots
1 or 2 bags Morningstar Farms frozen veggie crumbles, or 1 lb. cooked ground turkey or beef
2 cans condensed cream of [whatever] soup
1 soup-can-full of milk
½ to ¾-lb. shredded cheese (sharp cheddar is good, pepper jack is, too)
Red-pepper flakes, optional

Method:
Cook tater tots until pretty crispy, using package instructions. Combine soup and milk in saucepan or in microwave, heating until mixed. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Distribute veggie crumbles or cooked meat in even layer on bottom of ungreased 15” x 9” pan. Layer cooked tater tots on top of crumbles. Pour soup mixture evenly over tater tots. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Layer cheese evenly on top of casserole. Sprinkle with red-pepper flakes, if desired. Bake until cheese is melted, 5–15 minutes. Remove from oven. Let cool before serving.

Sounds like a poor mans' 'SHEPARDS PIE'!!!!
You might as well use real potatoes, with butter and cheddar cheese on top, bake for 1 hour in 375' oven, then broil for 5-10 minutes...the butter and cheese make the mashed potatoes sooo crispy!!! Tatertots is the lazy way of doing it!!
Still yummy...no matter!!
