FOUND by Xhenet Aliu
This is from a tiny diary I found in my backyard.

dear tiny diary,
maybe art would be better if your pages were bigger

Fetta
This is art.

The capital letter at the beginning of "Art" implies that Art is in fact a person. But I still think this is some elementary school kid who's getting pissed off about art class.

I love that this is posted on the same day that I get an invitation to some posh movie art exhibition from one of my mates. I hate art too! ...alas I don't have a tiny diary though to document such thoughts.

This reflects my sentiments perfectly. Of course, Art is the name of my boss.

This reminds me of grade four when I got busted for writing "9x9 = f**k I hate math" on my desk. I had to explain to my mum where I heard the word. It was my dad.

Maybe this child hates art because their magic markers are dried out... Or is that colored pencil?

This makes me sad if "art" here is not referring to a person.
But little do they know - they just made art.

I like the fact that the author refers to the diary as a "tiny' diary, because, I assume, it was tiny. I think many children hate art in grade school because so little time is actually devoted to it, and if you're not good at what your art teacher focuses on, it can become frustrating.....

awesome:
1) one creates what one hates
2) it actually says "dear tiny diary"

I love the 'Dear tiny diary' part. I want a tiny diary!
I agree, its not about a person, my son used to capitalize odd letters every now and then. Love it!

This find inspired me to work with my glass torch. Hopefully I created something today that could change an "I hate Art" attitude just a little bit.

Not only do I like the reference to "tiny diary", I love the fact that the page is so tiny, the word "tiny" has to be written vertically.

Cap'n Lou Albano in Canada, I was thinking the same thing. School subjects be capitalized. Kinda like this: My first period class in high school was Art. And I hated it!!!

crying in a corner
as an art teacher, i found this at first disheartening, but appreciate it now for its irony -- the purest of which is often consecrated unintentionally. as spajunkie stated beautifully, little do they know - they just made art. and yet, is still makes me want to go brood miserably in my bleak lil corner...and doodle

Cap'n Lou and Eggs1234, we all thought school subjects were capitalized when we were in school. However, only languages (e.g., English, Spanish, French) and specific course titles (e.g., Algebra II) are capitalized. All other subjects (e.g., science, reading, history, math) are not capitalized. (Thanks for letting me indulge my nerdy grammar-love.)

I love art. I always want to see and create more, I'd go mad if I couldn't. I'm totally dependent on it and it's enslaved my mind. Argh! Can't it just leave me alone sometimes? I hate art!
Isn't it fascinating?

i don't know what i was thinking, but for some reason i decided to major in education. i was going to teach high school english. momentary insanity, i guess. then today i dropped three classes and picked up some art classes. if feels so friggin' great to be back in art. after the papers were signed, things were brighter, clearer, and more colorful. it was weird.

anyway, i don't </3 art.

I had a math teacher named Art. He left my AP class mid-semester and he was my best math teacher ever. I've had two more teachers and I think I'm gonna fail the AP test because of him. So I hate Art too!
