Alive
FOUND by Christine Lee in Boston, Massachusetts
I was at a Halloween party on Mission Hill when I saw this taped to the wall above a table of shots. The drawing is on a paper towel and was attached to the note. The words struck me as kind of deep. They may be song lyrics; either way it was funny how this note summed up the great sense of belonging and fun everyone was having all dressed up in costume.

The words seem like the lyrics from Radiohead's 'Idioteque'. The exact words from the song are "Here I'm alive, everything all of the time." Ironically, though you may have found the words to have warm connotations in the context it was found in, the actual song has a very dark feel to it. Have a listen to it, it happens to be my favourite song!

I like this find.

Are you by any chance from Cincinnati originally?

This find pleases me. Obviously, this person was quoting Radiohead, but when I first glanced at it, a nice thought came to mind:

This person feels like they finally belong somewhere; but when they are at work, home, school, or where ever they may be, they feel pressured to be someone, and to do something.

I think everyone should feel like they belong somewhere.

And the Lord said "I AM" Yes, He is alive and everywhere all of the time. I see this in a Spiritual light and it's very cool. Too bad it looks crumpled and also found on a pagan holiday... Hmmmm something to think about?

The lyrics from Idioteque actually read, "Here I'm allowed everything all of the time" not, "Here I'm alive. Everything all of the time."

I think this is so beautiful. Simple and life-affirming. Whether or not the note-writer was the original composer of the words doesn't make a difference. It's very moving.

I think its Idioteque, the actual lyric is "Here Im allowed everything all of the time". I love misheard song lyrics. They show something about the person I think.

It sounds like sarcasm...like, they are sayiing "here, is everyone happy? I'm alive...what more do you want me to be?" Like they're tired of everyone's expectations of them but are forced to be everything to everyone.

This is one of my favorite songs! The best thing about "Idioteque" is that you really can't tell what the lyrics are, so the author of this note must have interpreted the lyrics in the way that (s)he felt at the time. This is precious.

being alive and being everything sounds to me like someone was eating magic shroomies or something similar. I sure wish the Found Guys had shown us the accompanying illustration on a paper towel!

I know that these are probably just misunderstood song lyrics, but it kind of sound to me that it could symbolize a writer's life too. It's written on paper like the paper is his/her life and that he/she is living that life all the time.

This find reminds me of Life in the Fast Lane by The Eagles.

Life in the fast lane
Everything all the time

I always have to come back to see this one every so often.
I adore the song Idioteque.
Seems like a note you would see in Donnie Darko in the part at the halloween party
