Astounding Girl
FOUND by Eric Schultheis in San Francisco, California
In 2003 I was collecting science fiction stories and books to vote on the Retro Hugo Award for best SF from 1953. I bought a bunch of 1953 dated science fiction magazines at Kayo Books in San Francisco. This photograph of the little girl posed on a crate reading a copy of Astounding Science Fiction fell out of one of the issues of Astounding. Careful inspection and research reveals that she is looking at the June 1947 issue of Astounding. There was no date or info on the photo aside from the number 340 stamped on the back as if from the photo processor.
