This find belongs in a museum and should be framed. In so many ways it captures the essence of what I felt that day, when I lived in NYC.…  more»

I tend to think it is a love poem, and she blows him away.

When she talks about Mozart he is dumbfounded and his heart wells up.  more»

Jason's mom knows that he got a DWI but his dad does not. Mom stuck a note in his bag and it fell out.

No camping trip for Jason.…  more»

A 3rd or 4th grade boy in Texas would not give a girl a ring I think. It is two girls, BFFs that had a fallout.

And screw everyone who does not like her e's.…  more»

The fact that it was taped tells you that someone wanted to look at it as they stared out the window, as though they were watching children play, possibly their child.

The window was a shrine and I have this horrible feeling that the child may have died. I truly hope not.…  more»

An angry white or asian kid wrote this. I can see someone taking this to a skinhead/KKK meeting.

It may have fallen out of his pocket on the way to a killing spree.…  more»

This is a college lesbian love letter. The author made a pass at monica and has been dejected via email. It is over b/c monica is not gay and the author was about to write "I can't apologize for what I am" ie gay.…  more»

The fact it was found inside the book makes that book tells you it is the takeaway, written by a young critic, but the "estrogen" really throws me, like it was written by a girl, but what girl would write in crayon in a fairly adult book?…  more»

A jewish guy in LA wrote this in 1956. He is being sarcastic with the quotes and telling this woman (or possibly man b/c we don't know who it is addressed to) that "previous plan" are bullshit or some sort of code word/inside joke.

He signs his name across half the page, so I think he was feeling rather cocky.…  more»

I am the only one weired out by the fact that it is postmarked, has a bar code and this is written where the address goes?

It is like it is being sent to that address as a request.  more»

I saved this one and posted it on my blog. Every time I read it, it strikes me as one of the mostly profoundly beautiful things ever written. It makes me miss the belief I too once had as a child that those we love float above us in the clouds and we are all waiting for their reply.  more»
